Lanzarote

Lanzarote was a fantastic stopover and we found it a lot more developed than our last visit 10 years ago. We decided to hire a car to do some touring, including visiting a few wineries, tool shops, beaches and friends.

We had a wonderful time catching up with old friends, the kids especially enjoyed hanging out with kids their own age.

We made a lot of new friends too, including a few other Aussie couples sailing their yachts.

Yesterday the weather looked good for a sail west so after a visit to a friends yacht container for some new halyards, a play on the beach and lunch onboard we raised anchor and sailed to Tenerife.

  1. If u End-up in Gran Canaria that where David built Antiki!! Just had a terrific few days with Amanda. When u get Caribbean then pick up Humanns ID books on coral, fish and Crustacea – Meanwhile still trying to save this fast disintegrating world – tread lightly and be safe and remember eating Salmon is not an option no matter where in the world the practice is destroying bay rivers and oceans. Are u going Cap Verde? Always a big regret I never went there. Hugs all round love Tinks

    1. No need for smelly pink salmon here. We are catching 4 or so tuna or Mahi a day but tossing most of them back because we think they are undersized. Not they the big fishing boats with nets and long lines seem to really care about size! I guess we feel we are doing our part for our kids future.
